Dr. Kweku Micah, O.D.

 

Dr. Micah's warm, genuine personality and commitment to excellence help young and old alike feel confident and comfortable in his optometry chair.  Dr. Micah provides comprehensive eye care and has special interest in areas of primary ocular disease, and helping patients with complex contact lens fittings.

He's been practicing for almost seven years and for Dr. Micah, optometry is as much a science, as it is an art. 

Dr. Micah completed his undergraduate studies at Oberlin College in Northeast Ohio and then obtained his doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. In Chicago, he achieved clinical excellence and experience in the diagnosis, treatment and management of eye disease and the fitting of specialty contact lenses.

Dr. Micah's philosophy of care begins with listening to what his patients' main concerns/goals are for themselves.  After determining what types of risk factors they exhibit through a comprehensive exam, Dr. Micah offers treatment choices that fit into what is going on in his patients' lives: work, school, family, budget, scheduling needs, etc.  His goal as a optometrist is to offer a long-term strategy, not just quick fixes, to achieve excellent ocular health and vision that one can be confident about.

Besides being a optometrist, he enjoys spending time with family and the culinary arts. Dr. Micah loves Buckeye football (he anticipates it all year!) and strives to treat each and every patient as a member of his family."The most rewarding aspect of being a optometrist is having so many opportunities to build long lasting relationships with patients."
